August 2018 Artist Series Painting

by Francoise de Felice

Purls of Joy opened in Fall 2010 with the intent of becoming a warm and welcoming place for knitters and crocheters. We carry a variety of yarns from basic to sublime with a focus on affordable quality products. Excellent customer service is our hallmark.

Each month we offer several knit and crochet classes in our Healdsburg location. Beginning knit, crochet, socks and sewing are always available by appointment.

We believe in giving back and focus on charity projects such as Project Linus and Alice's Embrace. Project Linus provides blankets to at risk children of all ages in our county. Alice's Embrace provides prayer shawls and lap robes to people with Alzheimer's. Our Beanie Brigade is in its sixth year and has given over 2700 helmet liners to our troops.

Purls of Joy has a thriving community of fiber enthusiasts. Join us for our weekly Sit & Stitch times -  Sundays from 2 to 4 pm and Thursdays from 5 to 8 pm, except the second week of the month which features a Friday UFO night. We hope to see you at Healdsburg's favorite yarn shop!

July 25th

The 2018 Sonoma County Yarn Hop has come and gone. It's our biggest event of the year and Phew! what an event it was. Attendance was the largest ever and we even ran out of goodie bags. Next year we'll be ordering more. It was wonderful to see so many excited, delighted and appreciative fiber enthusiasts. A BIG Thank You to all who attended and made it such a success. Your LYS support is greatly appreciated!!

No formal classes will be scheduled for August. You are free to make an appointment to learn any of the projects on our classes page. We're busy gearing up for the Fall/Winter season.

              The Artist Series

Each month this year we are offering a limited edition hand dyed yarn based a favorite artist's work. A different artist every month! The hand dyed yarns will be available in fingering weight and limited to a quantity of 10. You can order more than one of any month's offering and are not obligated to purchase every month.

The yarn will be ready the 20th of each month.

We're excited to create the colors of each masterpiece! See our Events page for current artist information or call the store to place your order, 433-5697.
